The biggest night of awards season is just over a week away, and fans can expect a star-studded ceremony. The 2024 Oscars, a.k.a. the 96th Annual Academy Awards, are being held live at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, marking his fourth time at the helm of Hollywood’s most prestigious awards show.

Speaking with the Los Angeles Times last month, Kimmel confessed that he never thought he would host again after his first two gigs, but ultimately opted to give it another shot in 2023 after seeing Top Gun: Maverick.

“I knew there was a movie that people had seen, and it just makes the job easier,” he explained. “Then this year, I am sitting in a movie theater watching Barbie and thinking, ‘Well, maybe I’ll do this again, because at least I have a point of reference with everyone.'”

Speaking of Barbie, the awards show will also feature musical performances, including Finneas and Billie Eilish‘s “What Was I Made For?” and Mark Ronson and Ryan Gosling‘s “I’m Just Ken.”

Other than the Jimmy Kimmel Live host, many a celeb will grace the stage to present the awards, including the highly anticipated Best Picture. Read on for more about who you might spot at the upcoming Oscars.
