Hollywood icon Harrison Ford is known for his stoicism, but his wife Calista Flockhart knows how to chip away to reveal his emotional side.
The Feud: Capote vs. The Swans star stopped by Live with Kelly and Mark this morning, where co-host Kelly Ripa mentioned that Ford had been honored with the Career Achievement Award at this year’s Critics Choice Awards.
“And dare I say, you bring out the soft, puppy dog side of Harrison Ford that we mortals might not necessarily know is there,” she quipped.
Flockhart then leaned in toward Ripa to reveal her secret. “I have something,” she whispered. “He’s afraid of me!”
As Ripa, Mark Consuelos, and the audience erupted into laughter, Flockhart added smugly, “I’m just saying!”
Ripa then took a moment to tell her husband and co-host, “Pay attention to that!” while Consuelos insisted that he’s “all ears.”
All jokes aside, Ripa noted that Ford was “so emotional” during his acceptance speech, as was Flockhart. The Ally McBeal star admitted, “it’s an emotional thing.”
“His body of work is so incredible and it’s so well deserved,” she said. “I’m very proud of him and happy for him.”

As for her favorite film of her husband’s, she admitted that she “has a few,” but said, “I would have to say right off the bat, [The] Mosquito Coast.”
Ripa asked, “Not Working Girl?” to which Flockhart replied, “I love Working Girl because he’s very funny. And Harrison is very funny. He’s surprisingly funny. Like, ‘Oh, wait, that was funny right? Wait, was that a joke?'”
She then turned it over to Consuelos for his thoughts on the 1988 rom-com, who shared that he watches the film with Ripa.
“And she loves it, which makes me happy,” he continued, leading Ripa to joke, “He’s afraid of me!”
