Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley is reportedly concerned that he could be facing a prison transfer after complaining about the living conditions of his current facility, FPC Pensacola.

Todd’s attorney, Jay Surgent, expressed to TMZ that the reality star fears he could face retaliation if he gets transferred to a new facility for openly criticizing the living conditions of the prison where he is being held.

Surgent claims Todd has heard “through the grapevine” that he could be facing a prison transfer, though it has not been confirmed.

Todd is reportedly concerned that transferring to a new prison would make it harder for his daughter Savannah Chrisley to visit. Surgent also expressed that Todd has become a “mentor” to other inmates.

This report comes after Chrisley gave his first interview from prison in December 2023, in which he claimed he was not being treated fairly by guards.

Chrisley shared complaints with NewsNation regarding the food, which he said was “out of date by, at minimum, a year,” as well as the commissary, and an alleged rodent problem.

“There are recordings of staff members here talking about, ‘He needs to be humbled. What we need to do is put him in diesel therapy and put him in shackles. Let him ride around the country for a time, and then bring him back and that will humble him. He thinks he’s in one of his mansions that he’s used to living in. But this is fucking BOP [Bureau of Prisons]. That’s what he’ll need,’” he said.

He also claimed that someone contacted Savannah and asked for “$2,600 a month for [his] protection.”

Savannah has previously alleged that her father could be facing a prison transfer.

“Right now they’re trying to move him from the facility he’s at now, because of the latest things that I’ve posted on Instagram,” she told Entertainment Tonight in November 2023. “And that’s the tough part — the moment you start speaking out, you have to pay for it.”

Todd is currently one year into his 10-year prison sentence for tax evasion and bank fraud. His wife, Julie Chrisley, is currently completing her own five-year sentence in Federal Medical Center Lexington, Kentucky.
