As broadcast networks gear up to premiere fresh 2024 TV slates, series that premiered in Fall 2023, like NBC’s original drama, Found, are wrapping their seasons with highly-anticipated finales.

Found, which premiered on NBC in October 2023, follows public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (star and producer Shanola Hampton) as she leads a crisis management team in search of forgotten missing people. As someone who saved herself from own her kidnapper when she was 16 years old, Gabi has a deeply personal investment in finding those who’ve slipped through the cracks and reuniting families. But she also has a secret. Her own personal kidnapper is chained up in her basement helping her solve cases!

The high-stakes searches coupled with an unconventional partnership creates an incredibly compelling watch, so when fans of Found finish Season 1’s finale — which premieres on NBC Tuesday, January 16 — they’ll likely be wondering if and when Found Season 2 is coming.

Will There Be A Found Season 2 On NBC?

Great news, Found fans! The series is indeed returning for a second season following the intense Season 1 finale, Episode 13, “Missing While Forgotten.”

In a press release issued November 30, NBC announced the renewal of both of its first-year drama series, Found and The Irrational, which means we haven��t seen the last of Gabi Mosely and her team.

“These shows are a testament to the incredibly passionate work of our showrunners Nkechi Okoro Carroll (Found) and Arika Lisanne Mittman (The Irrational), both of whom have executed their visions flawlessly,” Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Entertainment said in a statement. “A huge thank you to the talented cast, producers and crews for their tireless commitment and dedication, which has clearly paid off with audiences making these series must-see television on both NBC and next day on Peacock.”

Back in November, NBC also shared that Found had become the top new drama of the season among the 18 to 49 demographic; Found and The Irrational were the first and second broadcast series, respectively, in total viewers this season among Black audiences; and the two series were also NBC’s top digital launches across all major platforms. It’s not hard to see why the network embraced a Season 2 renewal!

When Will Found Season 2 Premiere On NBC?

As of Found’s Season 1 finale date, NBC hasn’t shared any details surrounding the Season 2 premiere. But considering the series debuted in October 2023, here’s hoping new episodes could return in Fall 2024. Decider reached out to a representative for Found who confirmed a Season 2 premiere date had yet to be selected and production hasn’t begun. But we’ll be sure to update this piece when we learn more.
