Marvel fans have been waiting for January 9, 2024 for weeks, if not months and even years. It’s the day that all five episodes of the Marvel Spotlight series Echo are scheduled to premiere on Disney+. Echo will mark the return of Hawkeye breakout Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), as well as the long-time MCU heavy Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio). The series promises to be a return to the old Marvel Netflix formula, complete with gritty, grounded drama that’s high on realism and maybe not totally family-friendly. So today’s the day Echo is supposed to be on Disney+, but what if you can’t find it? Could it be that Echo has a different release time than you thought? Come to think of it, what is Echo‘s release time? How many episodes of Marvel’s Echo are there? And who’s confirmed to pop up in the Echo cast?

Echo is a new Marvel show on Disney+ focusing on the character of Maya Lopez, first introduced in 2021’s Hawkeye. The deaf superhero started working for long-time mentor Kingpin after witnessing the murder of her criminal father (Zahn McClarnon). Maya believed that Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) was responsible for her father’s death and that only through aiding Kingpin could she exact revenge. However, when Maya learns that Kingpin killed her father, she turns on her boss. Hawkeye ended with Maya shooting the villain in the head…but he’s not actually gone. Echo will deal with the repercussions of Maya’s decision and explore the ways in which her indigenous heritage define her as a new Marvel hero.

Ready to learn more about Maya Lopez? Hoping for some new MCU Easter eggs to unpack? Dying to see Vincent D’Onofrio play Kingpin again? Here’s everything you need to know about Echo on Disney+…

Will There Be an Echo Season 2?

Probably not! As of right now, the plan is for Echo to be a one and done limited series. Now, say it’s a big hit… Could Disney+ decide to make a second season? Possibly. However most Marvel shows tend to stick to a one season formula. It’s more likely that if fans embrace Maya Lopez that she’ll appear in another MCU show or movie. Maybe the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again? Just spitballing because, you know, Charlie Cox will pop up in Echo...
