Noah Hawley’s popular anthology series Fargo is back for its fifth season, and things are… quite weird. A supposed housewife with a secret past, a family Christmas photos with guns, Jon Hamm with two nipple rings? What could possibly go wrong?

Taking place in Minnesota, the latest installment follows Dorothy “Dot” Lyon (Temple) as secrets from her past come into the light after she accidentally tazes a police officer at a riot.

The new season premiered November 21, 2023 with two episodes, “The Tragedy of the Commons” and “Trials and Tribulations,” and has an all-star cast, including Juno TempleJon HammJoe Keery, and Richa Moorjani.

Decider’s Sean T. Collins praised last week’s episode — called “The Paradox of Intermediate Transactions” — in his recap, writing that “it’s positively bristling with fun ideas, images, plot developments, song choices, blatant swipes, actors enjoying themselves.”
