Brian Cox isn’t afraid to speak his mind, but the Succession star also isn’t shy about flaunting his style. Unfortunately, Fans of the veteran actor were not here for the shocking outfit he wore during an appearance on The Tonight Show last week.

Clad in brown leather pants, a black pinstriped button down, and loafers (no socks spotted), Cox discussed his new gig hosting the reality show 007: Road To A Million, but many fans couldn’t focus on anything but his loud outfit.

“WHY ARE HIS ANKLES OUT IM GOING TO FAINT BRIAN COX WHAT IS THIS OUTFIT,” one fan wrote on X.

GQ even published a piece praising Cox for his “pitch-perfect loafers,” making the photo go mega-viral on X and identifying the famous shoes as horsebit loafers from the brand Kith.

“If I had only seen the bottom half of the pic I would not have assumed Brian Cox was the top half, especially wearing that shirt,” another fan commented.

And the trolling did not end there. That photo of Cox sitting on Fallon’s stage with his ankles showing seemed to be everywhere on Sunday (Nov. 12) evening.

Other fans wondered if his questionable style choices were a result of the recently ended Hollywood strikes. “Is there a stylist strike going on too?” someone commented.

“Brian Cox enters the “I’m so successful I don’t have to give a shit about what I wear anymore” club. Lifetime President being Michael Shannon of course,” another fan wrote, sharing a photo of one of Shannon’s iconic fits.

By a certain point in the evening, some already had enough of the viral picture. “I wish this app would stop showing me Brian Cox in those leather trousers and loafers. It’s DISGUSTING,” one user wrote.

Cox stopped by Fallon’s show Nov. 8 to promote his new gig as host of 007: Road To A Million, a James Bond-inspired reality show. He told Fallon that he took the job because he thought it was the next Bond film.

“For years, I thought, you know, I would love to be in James Bond. It would be really interesting. And I thought, ‘This is my moment,’ but it wasn’t,” he said.

But he still had “great fun” hosting the show because he loves “bossing people around,” he said.

Tune into 007: Road To A Million where it is now streaming on Prime Video to see if Cox makes any more questionable fashion choices on the show.
