Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were royally mocked in the latest episode of Family Guy, which aired on Sunday, Oct. 22. The short scene — which features their animated characters collecting millions from doing, apparently, the bare minimum — comes months after they were targeted in an episode of South Park.

In the Family Guy episode, Peter Griffin (Seth MacFarlane) declares that he’ll take up a new adventure alone — much like the Sussexes, who stepped down as working royals and moved to California in 2020.

The scene then cuts to animated versions of the couple as they sit poolside. At one point, a butler approaches Harry with a stack of letters.

“Sir, your millions from Netflix for … no one knows what,” the butler says, to which an uninterested Harry replies, “Put it with the rest of them.”

The comment was a clear dig at the couple’s $100 million Netflix deal, which they signed in 2020. Since then, they have released three documentaries on the streaming platform, including their tell-all series Harry & Meghan, Live to Lead and Heart of Invictus.

Once the butler exits the scene, Markle interjects, “Babe, time to do our $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco,” while Harry adds, “I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense,” seemingly referring to their news-making exit from the monarchy, which was otherwise coined as Megxit.

Family Guy’s portrayal of the couple somewhat strikes the same tone as remarks made by Spotify executive Bill Simmons, who is the head of podcast innovation and monetization at the company. Markle hosted a 12-episode podcast called Archetypes, but decided to mutually part ways with Spotify in June after just one season.

“I wish I had been involved in the Meghan and Harry leave Spotify negotiation. ‘The Fucking Grifters,’ that’s the podcast we should have launched with them,” Simmons said on his own show at the time, per Newsweek. “I gotta get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry, trying to help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories.”

New episodes of Family Guy air on Sundays at 9:30/8:30c on Fox.
