Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 is welcoming two more of Charity Lawson’s ex-boyfriends in Episode 4: John Buresh and John Henry Spurlock.

Fans of The Bachelorette Season 20 will likely remember John B, who stuck around until Week 4, and was eliminated after some major Brayden drama. But John Henry, an underwater welder from Virginia Beach, Virginia, was sent home shortly after the season started, so we understand if you need a Paradise refresher.

So who is John Henry Spurlock on Bachelor in Paradise Season 9? And how did his relationship with Charity Lawson end on The Bachelorette Season 20? Here’s everything we know about Paradise‘s new arrival John Henry, including his age, job, Instagram handle, and more.

Who Is John Henry Spurlock On Bachelor in Paradise?

As noted, John Henry is an underwater welder, so you may remember the then 30-year-old emerging from the limo on Night 1 of The Bachelorette and greeting Charity while wearing his diving helmet. Per John Henry’s official ABC bio, he’s “ready for a love deeper than the ocean.”

“While he’s extremely passionate about his work as an underwater welder, John Henry has yet to find the spark of everlasting love. John Henry is looking for a woman who is trustworthy, adventurous, and has a good sense of humor. His dream is to take his future wife diving,” his bio reads. “When he’s not working, John Henry loves hitting the gym and jamming out to ASAP Rocky. While John Henry says he can be a bit shy at first, once he opens up, he’s all in.”

Looking to stay up-to-date on John Henry outside of his appearances within the franchise?Follow him on Instagram at @johnhenry222, where he had 10,800 followers ahead of Paradise Episode 4.

For those who need a refresher on John Henry’s Bachelorette journey, he was eliminated early on in Week 2, after that memorable group date that saw Charity and future Bachelor lead Joey Graziadei break the record for the franchise’s “longest kiss.” Ouch.

Based off Paradise Season 9, Episode 4’s preview, it seems that John Henry arrives at the beach with a date card. So we’ll have to tune in Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. on ABC (or Fridays on next-day Hulu streaming) to see if Paradise treats him better than The Bachelorette.
