Bachelor in Paradise is giving former Bachelorette and current Paradise contestant Rachel Recchia a break in Season 9, Episode 3 by welcoming one of Charity Lawson’s ex boyfriends to the beach for a change.

The previews at the end of Episode 2 showed Bachelorette Season 20 alum Tanner Courtad, a mortgage lender and fitness instructor from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, walking down the Paradise stairs with a date card and asking out a woman who’s already formed a seemingly solid connection. Bold move, dude!

Who Is Tanner Courtad on Bachelor in Paradise?

According to Tanner’s official ABC bio he “is 100% husband material.”

“The fitness instructor is extremely close with his family and hopes to find a relationship as special as the one his parents have,” the bio continues. “While growing up, Tanner and his family rescued over 50 dogs and he hopes to rescue more with his future wife… Tanner is truly looking for his forever partner and says that he thinks about finding love all the time.”

Based off Paradise Season 9, Episode 3’s preview, it seems that Tanner arrives at the beach and asks Kat Izzo out on a date, which goes especially well, leaving Kat’s early Paradise connection Brayden Bowers heartbroken.
