The saying may go “trick or treat,” but for Ari Aster fans, there are only treats in store this spooky season.

According to Collider, A24 is launching a “Thrills and Chills” series, a collab with AMC Theaters through which horror films are brought back to the big screen every Wednesday throughout the month of October.

The spooky series features a 171-minute-long Director’s Cut of Midsommar, the 2019 psychedelic cult horror film starring Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor. This version includes an additional 23 minutes of footage, consisting of scene extensions and new angles.

The special cut debuted at Lincoln Center’s annual Scary Movies festival on Aug. 17, 2019, about a month and a half after the original version’s theatrical release, per IndieWire.

While the original version earned a respectable 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, the Director’s Cut garnered a perfect score of 100% on the Tomatometer.

The movie series begins on Wednesday, Oct. 4 with The Witch, followed by X on Oct. 11, Under the Skin on Oct. 18, and Midsommar on Oct. 25.
