Sunny Hostin fiercely defended Vice President Kamala Harris on this morning’s episode of The View, standing up for the politician as she continues to face criticism from Republicans as the 2024 election nears.

Harris’ recently appearance on Face the Nation, where she defended President Joe Biden after a poll from The Wall Street Journal showed that even many Democrats think he is too old to run for another term. Biden is currently 80 years old.

When asked if she was prepared to serve as Commander-in-Chief, Harris told Face the Nation, “Yes I am, if necessary, but Joe Biden is going to be fine.

After watching the clip with her co-hosts, Hostin got heated.

“Why is Kamala so dangerous, right?” she asked, to which Whoopi Goldberg replied, “Why do you think she’s so dangerous?”

Feigning uncertainty, Hostin responded, “I don’t know, Whoopi. That’s kind of offensive to me. And the other thing is, she’s ‘unprepared.’ Kamala Harris, by the way, was the first woman elected D.A. of San Francisco, the first woman to be Attorney General of California, she’s the first female Vice President, she’s been on the job doing a damn good job.

“I am so tired of people questioning her qualifications,” Hostin continued. “The woman is ready to lead if she needs to lead, but I don’t think Joe Biden is going anywhere, because I see him on his bike in Delaware. I can’t bike that much!”

While praising the “fit” president, Hostin shaded Donald Trump, telling the panel, “Let’s compare the Republican candidate, who eats cheeseburgers and throws spaghetti at the wall. I mean, is he prepared, is he physically prepared?”

Also in Face the Nation interview, Harris pushed back against Republican critiques of the Biden administration. She insisted that she and the president are “delivering for the American people,” adding, “And the reality of it is that, unfortunately, very few of those who challenge our administration actually have a plan for America.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
