Neil Gaiman‘s DC-inspired Netflix series The Sandman is getting a rare physical release for a Netflix title.

According to MovieWeb, Season 1 of the hit fantasy drama series will be available in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD as of November 28.

Based on Gaiman’s iconic comic book series, The Sandman stars Tom Sturridge, Mason Alexander Park, Boyd Holbrook, Vivienne Acheampong, and Patton Oswalt, to name a few.

The story centers on Dream (Sturridge), who after breaks free after being incarcerated for nearly a century and embarks on a journey to reclaim authority over The Dreaming.

The physical release offers a sneak peek behind the scenes of the show and an exploration into “The World of The Endless.” This news clearly means that Netflix is confident in the project and should continue to greenlight future seasons.

While Season 2 has already been ordered by the platform, production was halted back in July due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. There is no word yet on when an agreement will be reached so that production on the series can resume.

The streaming media giant has historically reserved physical releases for a select few critically acclaimed titles, alongside some Oscar-nominated movie sensations such as Marriage Story and Roma.
