‘Today With Hoda & Jenna’: Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager Grill Christopher Meloni About His Naked Workout Habits After That Viral Peloton Ad

What a let down! Christopher Meloni recently paid a visit to Today With Hoda & Jenna, where the co-hosts asked the Law & Order actor about the wild Peloton advertisement he did last year that showed him working out naked.

The interview took a scandalous turn when Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager grilled Meloni on whether he really works out in the nude as the ad suggests.

“Are you a naked person?” Kotb asked him. “Some people are naked around their house, they’re just comfortable being naked. Are you?”

Hilariously enough, Meloni did not hesitate when he responded, “Yes.”

But he later clarified that, despite his memorable performance in the Peloton ad, he doesn’t actually work out in his birthday suit.

“Is that disappointment or relief?” he asked the co-hosts.

“We are very disappointed!” Bush Hager replied.

“You’re very difficult to please,” he joked.

Meloni acknowledged that he technically “lit the fuse” on this rumor that he regularly works out naked when he was participating in interviews last year. “I was doing a long line of interviews and they ask you the same questions so I just wanted to spice it up,” he admitted. “I spiced it up, don’t you think?”

The Peloton ad showed Meloni doing various exercises while completely nude, though all of the important bits were blurred out. “Some people think the way I work out is strange,” he says in the commercial as the camera pans out to reveal he’s not wearing any clothes. “Honestly, I don’t get it. Me? I don’t think using the Peloton App is strange at all.”

The viral commercial even nabbed Meloni a second NSFW commercial for compression socks earlier this summer.

Even Kotb pointed out that Meloni may be known best for the 24 years he spent acting opposite Mariska Hargitay in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, but he’s also earned a reputation for the “super sexy commercials” he now specializes in.

He definitely has a talent for sales. Meloni later joined Kotb and Bush Hager for a mini-game called ‘Can Christopher Sell It?’ where the actor was tasked with advertising random household objects. The game went so well Meloni joked that he was the next Billy Mays.
