After a months-long health scare, Jamie Foxx is finally “starting to feel like himself” again.

The They Cloned Tyrone star was first hospitalized in April due to a “medical complication” that he kept private from the public. In recent weeks, Foxx has updated his fans on his health via social media, telling them that he “just didn’t want [them] to see [him] like that,” but that he has “big things coming.”

His most recent update arrived in an Instagram post he shared yesterday (Aug. 17), with five pictures of Foxx donning a crocheted hat, sunglasses and a white t-shirt while holding a pair of red Crocs, in what appears to be a tropical location.

“You’re lookin at a man who is thankful… finally startin to feel like myself… ,” he began his post. “It’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light…”

He continued, “I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers… I have a lot of people to thank… u just don’t know how much it meant… I will be thanking all of you personally… and if you didn’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day every day… #swipeleft #imbackandimbetter #nobaddays.”

Various stars have flooded the comments section of the post with their support. Sherri Shepherd, former co-host of The View and current host of her own talk show Sherri, wrote, “we love you!” while Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner commented, “Bless you my friend !!!❤️❤️”

The uplifting update comes a little over two weeks after Foxx announced that his liquor company Brown Sugar Bourbon will be releasing a new bottle. “New me, new bottle. Coming soon!!” he captioned the post.

Another upcoming project of his includes co-hosting We Are Family, a new musical competition show, alongside his daughter Corinne Foxx, which is slated to debut in 2024.
