If you missed watching a naked Jennifer Lawrence beat up some teens in theaters, well, first of all, that sucks for you. I’m sorry. But there’s good news: The No Hard Feelings digital release is tomorrow, which means you will be able to buy the movie online via platforms like Amazon Prime, and watch it from the comfort of your home.

Directed by Gene Stupnitsky, who also co-wrote the screenplay with John Phillips, this R-rated comedy stars Lawrence as a broke 32-year-old who answers a Craigslist ad. The job? To date an introverted 19-year-old boy (played by Andrew Barth Feldman) because his parents are worried he’s too sheltered. It’s laugh-out-loud funny, and surprisingly sweet.

No Hard Feelings was well-received by critics when it opened in theaters in late June 2023, and earned an impressive $83.5 million at the worldwide box office. For an R-rated comedy with a production budget of about $45 million, that’s a financial success for the film’s distributor, Sony Pictures Releasing. Therefore, some may be surprised to hear No Hard Feelings is coming to digital so soon, just a little over a month after it opened in theaters.

But that seems to be Sony’s new release strategy. The studio also just released its biggest movie of the year so far, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, on digital, also after about a month and a half in theaters. For folks who prefer to wait to watch at home, that’s good news. Here’s what to know about the No Hard Feelings digital release.

How to watch No Hard Feelings on streaming:

Beginning on Tuesday, August 15, No Hard Feelings will be available to buy digitally on Amazon PrimeGoogle PlayApple TV, Vudu, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime, Vudu, and Google Play, the movie costs $19.99 to pre-order.

No Hard Feelings is not yet available to rent on digital platforms.

When will No Hard Feelings be streaming on Netflix?

No Hard Feelings will likely be on Netflix before the end of the year. Netflix has a deal with Sony Pictures that gives the streamer the rights to the Sony movies in the “Pay 1” window, meaning the first streaming window after the film’s home media release. For the Adam Driver movie 65, the movie was on Netflix four months after it opened in theaters. Another Sony movie, The Pope’s Exorcist, also came to Netflix about four months after it was in theaters. If No Hard Feelings follows a similar release strategy, you may see it on Netflix as early as October 2023.

That said, because No Hard Feelings is a more anticipated film than 65 or The Pope’s Exorcist, it’s possible the wait may be longer. Pre-pandemic, the Pay 1 window was usually nine months after a movie opened in theaters, which would for No Hard Feelings would mean January 2024. But we have a feeling you’ll see the Jennifer Lawrence movie on Netflix before the end of the year. In the meantime, you can watch a naked JLaw beat up teenagers by buying the movie on digital.
