How rude! It appears that Jodie Sweetin was kept out of the loop as to where her upcoming film Craft Me A Romance would be landing, and it was purchased by none other than the Great American Family channel, home to her Full House co-star Candace Cameron Bure.

Bure has been under fire surrounding the comments she made to The Wall Street Journal last Nov. about keeping “traditional marriage at the core” of the holiday films launched on the channel and refraining from featuring same-sex couples in her films. She left Hallmark last April.

Sweetin, whose beliefs differ drastically from her ’90s sitcom sister according to Entertainment Tonight, explained in a statement to People that sometimes actors “don’t have control over which network buys the projects [they] are in, nor are [they] a part of the process in which they get sold.”

“So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it in the press yesterday that the independent film I worked on over a year ago was sold to Great American Family,” she continued. “I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations.”

The film is set to debut on Great American Family channel on Sept. 16 as part of its second annual “Great American Autumn” event, per People. The movie stars Sweetin as Nicole Borden, the owner of an arts and crafts store called The Crafty Companion. Mathew, the owner of Mitchell’s Art and Craft Supplies (Brent Bailey) tells her that she must sell the store or go out of business.

Decider reached out to Great American Family for comment but didn’t hear back in time for publication.
