We’ve given you two weekly updates about Craig Melvin‘s whereabouts on The Today Show so far, but now the third time is the charm: the beloved anchor is finally back after over a week away.

Per The Sun, Melvin explained his absence from the show after Al Roker welcomed him back on Tuesday’s (July 25) broadcast. Melvin explained that he was away on a family vacation, much like many of the other Today Show hosts who also took some time off to enjoy their summers recently.

“It’s good to be back,” Melvin said.

“We went down last week — me, my younger brother, and my older brothers and all their kids went on vacation, beach, pool, beach, pool,” he explained. “It was great, but it was like 95 degrees.”

He also added that his wife, Lindsay Czarniak, organized a tennis outing for the family.

While Melvin has since returned, Today co-host Dylan Dreyer was still noticeably absent as of Monday’s (July 31) broadcast.

On July 16, Roker shared that Dreyer and Melvin had both taken some time off from the show, though he didn’t share why at the time. But it appears that both have been away on vacation with their families.

Melvin’s family appeared to be vacationing in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Czarniak shared videos and photos from the trip on her social media, though they did not show Melvin. The Today Show host was largely radio silent on his social media during his vacation, except to share the pre-recorded interview he did with Magic Johnson that aired during his absence.

Dreyer, on the other hand, has been posting about her family vacation on social media — even the not-so-fun parts.

The meteorologist shared a photo of her family in the airport, captioned, “Little did we know these would be the clothes for the whole trip because our luggage is lost in Amsterdam. We’re not in Amsterdam. All that work packing…”

She even tweeted about the mishap, in which she tagged the airlines her family flew with in hopes of getting their lost luggage back. “Who can find 7 pieces of our luggage that’s lost in Amsterdam first??? Ready….go!!” she wrote.

It is unclear when Dreyer will be returning to The Today Show. She posted photos of her kids on vacation in Sicily just this weekend.

The Today Show airs on weekdays at 7 a.m. ET on NBC.
