Bryan Cranston has confirmed that there have been talks about doing a Malcolm in the Middle reboot.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Breaking Bad star was asked by fans if it was true that he was working on a script for a revival of the popular Fox sitcom.

Cranston replied stating that he’s been working on ideas for a potential reunion in the form of either a movie or television series. You can watch the clip above.

The actor played Malcom’s (Frankie Muniz) dad, Hal, on the series, which ran for 7 seasons from 2000-2006.

Muniz revealed last year that Cranston had been working on a script, but didn’t provide any further details. Cranston has given a high probability that the show will return in some shape or form.

“Yes, I would say that on a scale of 1-10, I’d say an 8 that we’ll do a reunion, movie or show or something,” he said. “And yes, we have been working on concepts of story, plots and things like that.”

Created by Linwood Boomer, the sitcom was one of the first of its kind that didn’t rely on laugh tracks and also had Muniz’s character speak directly to the camera at times.

Cranston began Breaking Bad two years after the sitcom ended. He currently stars in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City.
