Over the course of Manifest‘s final two seasons, characters and fans alike watched Angelina Meyer (Holly Taylor) morph into one of television’s most odious, exasperating villains. She leaned all the way into religion, preached superiority under the belief that she was a chosen one worthy of a new world, preyed on and manipulated the weak, and didn’t care who she hurt — or even killed! — along the way.

By the end of the series, she’d become a walking contradiction who was spinning in agonizing circles and seemed incapable of, or simply unwilling to change. While the majority of Flight 828’s passengers banded together and bettered themselves in hopes of saving their lifeboat and surviving the Death Date, Angelina stayed selfish throughout the series, continuously wreaking havoc on the innocent for her own gain. After killing Grace and spending a season trying to convince a kidnapped Eden she was her mom, Angelina started using her sapphire-melded hand to trick people with fake callings. Despite being given numerous opportunities to create positive change, she chose violence time and time again. So when she finally died in the series finale, Manifest fans shared a single sentiment: GOOD RIDDANCE!

The show’s writers, plus Taylor’s committed performance, didn’t solely succeed at crafting a next-level villain, they also pulled off a fitting, unconventional, incredibly satisfying death. Angelina didn’t predictably perish for her long list of unconscionable sins. She quite literally imploded on Flight 828, just as she would have had the plane crashed. When the time to be judged finally arrived, her skin began to crack and spew out molten lava like the fissures she created with her powers. She begged for mercy, but it was too late. POOF! She turned into a pile of ash right before our eyes.

In wake of the intense Angelina hate fans have dished out in Manifest‘s final hours, star Daryl Edwards — who plays Robert Vance — shared a photo of him and Holly Taylor on Twitter alongside a sweet message to remind us all she’s not Angelina IRL.

“I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. [Holly Taylor] is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet,” Edwards wrote. “The fact that Angelina is so disliked is a testament to her wonderful talent.”

Taylor also shared photos of her and her fellow Manifest cast-mates smiling and celebrating the end of the series together. She’s even holding flowers! They like her! They really like her!

Taylor, we hope to see you on our TV screens again sometime soon. (Perhaps playing someone slightly less annoying!) But as for Angelina, good riddance! We’ll almost miss hate-watching you. Almost.
