Sha-la-la-la-la-la, don’t be scared… you can’t kiss The Little Mermaid’s new Prince Eric, but you can stream his other movies and shows. Jonah Hauer-King is making a splash on the big screen with the 2023 live-action remake of the Disney hit musical. The British actor delivers an excellent portrayal of the lovestruck prince, who he brings to life with an original song (penned by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken) and some floppy-hair smoldering through the movie’s 135-minute runtime.

The movie premieres today in theaters and has received acclaim, with Hauer-King getting several notes of praise for his performance. RogerEbert.com lauded the adaptation for adding depth to the prince, writing, “Jonah Hauer-King even gets his own ‘I Want’ song, and there’s more to him than the typically blandly handsome Disney prince.”

In his original song, “Wild Uncharted Waters,” Hauer-King runs through his kingdom while on the lookout for Ariel, who saved his life after he was left for dead after a shipwreck. The romantic song includes the lyrics, “Now I am on the shoreline / But I’m still lost at sea / In these wild uncharted waters / Come find me again.” Brilliantly, the song is a perfect mix of the two iconic musical numbers “Bet on It” from High School Musical 2 and Jamie Dornan’s “Edgar’s Prayer” from Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar.

USA Today echoed RogerEbert.com, writing, “Hauer-King is a solid Disney prince, who gets a helpful backstory in the updated film,” and Time Out wrote that Hauer-King does a “sincere turn” as the well-known character.

All in all, the world is obsessed with Hauer–King and we’re here to tell you how to get more of him. Looking to check out more of his work? You’re in luck – here’s where you can stream his other movies and television shows.

Where to Stream Jonah Hauer-King’s Other Movies and Shows:

While The Little Mermaid is Hauer-King’s biggest project to date, the 27-year-old actor has been on screen since 2014. In the past, he has starred in the BBC series adaptation of Little Women, where he portrayed Theodore ‘Laurie’ Laurence, a role later played by Timothee Chalamet in Greta Gerwig’s 2019 adaptation. Hauer-King’s version of Little Women can be streamed on Prime Video with an added subscription to PBS Masterpiece, which is $5.99 per month after a 7-day free trial. If you decide to splurge for the trial – or binge-watch over seven days — be sure to also check out the war drama World on Fire, starring Hauer-King as British Army interpreter Harry Chase.

Or, you can check out Postcards from London, which is available on Prime Video with an added subscription to Strand Releasing, which is $4.99 per month after a 7-day free trial. The British drama tells the story of a teenager (played by Triangle of Sadness’s Harris Dickinson) who leaves his rural town for London and meets a group of high-class gay escorts, one of which is played by Hauer-King.

Was that last movie too spicy for your interests? No worries, hop over to Hulu where you can stream Hauer-King’s family-friendly 2019 flick A Dog’s Way Home, which also stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Ashley Judd. The movie follows a dog who goes on a long journey home after it’s separated from its owner, who is portrayed by the dreamy prince.

If you live in the United Kingdom, Australia, or Canada, you can watch Hauer-King’s British comedy The Flatshare, which is streaming on Paramount+ or with a Paramount+ subscription add-on via Prime Video. The series is based on Beth O’Leary’s book of the same name and follows a journalist who decides to timeshare a bed with a hospice nurse after suffering through a breakup. The two don’t meet in person but begin communicating through Post-it notes. Hauer-King portrays the journalist’s close friend, Mo. The series is set to premiere in the United States later this year.

You can also stream Ashes in the Snow on Freevee, which plucks the singing prince out of his shoreside castle and plucks him in Siberia during the Second World War, and The Last Photograph on Prime Video, starring Hauer-King as the protagonist’s late son.

As for now, The Little Mermaid is not currently streaming on any online platforms, but it is bound to release on Disney+ in the coming months. Many Disney movies began streaming on the platform roughly 45 days after their theatrical release, which means the movie could be on Disney+ as early as July 14, 2023; however, some titles take longer than others. For example, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was released in theaters on Feb. 17 and didn’t arrive on Disney+ until May 17. Until then, you can find a local theatrical showing on Fandango or stream one of the many movies listed above to get your Hauer-King fix.
