All About the Amazon Black Friday Dolphins-Jets Game: Streaming, Tickets

For the first time ever, you’ll be able to decompress from Black Friday shopping with an NFL game. That’s right, the NFL’s first-ever Black Friday game is happening this year, and the matchup is finally set.

Watch the game on Prime Video here

The November 24, 2023 tilt will see Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins take on Tim Boyle and the new-look New York Jets at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ and live on Prime Video nationwide.

We all know Thanksgiving is one of the biggest NFL days of the year, with the Lions and Cowboys hosting their traditional games, but Amazon is looking to create a new NFL tradition just one day later after carving out a space in broadcasting NFL games with their exclusive coverage of Thursday Night Football beginning last season.

The Thursday Night Football broadcasting team has been tapped for coverage of the game, which will begin at 1:30 ET before the 3 p.m. ET kickoff.

How to Watch and Stream the Amazon Black Friday Game:

As the name implies, the only way you’ll be able to watch the NFL Black Friday Game is on Prime Video.

Unlike the rest of Amazon’s Thursday Night Football slate, you won’t actually need to be subscribed to Prime in order to watch the game. However, there are a lot of perks to being a Prime Video subscriber — every Thursday Night Football game chief among them.

Another perk of Prime membership? During the game, Black Friday deals will be announced in real time, with offers on top brands for the holiday season. They will be shoppable on Amazon, so putting your Prime membership to good use for fast shipping and more perks is key.

Amazon Prime costs $15/month or $139/year and includes Prime Video in addition to free two-day shipping, Grubhub+, and more. There’s also a Prime Video standalone subscription for $9/month. Both subscriptions come with a 30-day free trial for new users.

Dolphins vs. Jets Tickets:

The game may be this week, but for locals in the Tristate area or die-hard football fans, it may be worth looking for last-minute ticket deals. After all, Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season in NYC, and Metlife Stadium is not that far away from all of the wintery magic of holiday shops, decorated windows, and big Christmas trees — if you’re a Dolphins fan, this is the away game you’ll want to attend.

Luckily, tickets are still available on Vivid Seats. Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Since 1966, the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets have been divisional rivals. Both teams play in the AFC East, so they face off twice a season and have battled for the division title in the past.

The Jets are looking to bounce back even further this season after a 7-10-0 season last year, and they intended on doing so with help from their new four-time league MVP and one-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However, the all-star tore his achilles in Week 1 and so the team has been relying on Sauce Gardner, Breece Hall, Zach Wilson and now, hopefully Tim Boyle to carry them through the season.

Last season, the Dolphins finished with a slightly better 9-8-0 record and second place in a below-average AFC East. Former Jet Mike White, who started four games at QB last season, is a Dolphin now, taking up QB2 responsibilities behind star starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill, strongside linebacker Bradley Chubb, and left center back Xavien Howard all return to the roster as well following a 2023 Pro Bowl appearance.
