Get ready to fly away to Neverland, because Peter Pan & Wendy is coming to Disney+ this weekend. The latest live-action remake from Disney, this movie is a remake of the 1953 animated film Peter Pan, which was based on the 1904 play, Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up by J. M. Barrie.

The 2023 movie is directed by David Lowery, aka the man who brought you The Green Knight, with a screenplay by Lowery and Toby Halbrooks, the live-action Peter Pan & Wendy has been in development for nearly seven years. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed production, and though the film was originally supposed to premiere in theaters, ultimately Disney decide to push the film to its streaming service, Disney+.

While that may be a blow to those who want to go to Neverland in a theater, we’re sure that Peter Pan & Wendy will find an audience on streaming. Young actor Alexander Molony makes his film debut as Peter Pan himself, while Ever Anderson plays Wendy and Jude Law plays the villainous Captain Hook.
