Ben Affleck is putting his BFF Matt Damon on blast. During Thursday night’s episode of The Late Late Show, the Air director revealed to host James Corden that he would not suggest living with Damon — something he did when they were just starting out in their careers.

“Matt’s a beautiful guy. I love him. He’s my best friend. He’s been great to me my whole life. He’s a brilliant guy. I would not suggest living with him,” he said of his longtime friend and frequent collaborator, with whom he shared an apartment along with his brother, Casey Affleck.

According to the actor, Damon — who he claims has “never paid a bill” — is one of the filthiest people to live with. And he attributes it all to the Good Will Hunting star’s “ability” to “block things out.”

“I think that’s why he’s such a great actor, because he can just focus,” Affleck shared. “One of the things he blocks out is the idea that when you finish with something, it has to be washed or thrown away.”

Affleck recalled the time he and his brother decided to go on a “sit-down strike,” where they did not clean up after the Academy Award winner. He told Corden that their plan was to “wait and see how long he will go before he actually gets up and goes, ‘God, I’m covered in garbage!'”

After two weeks of not cleaning, Affleck recalled coming home to Damon sitting “in the middle of the living room just surrounded by concentric circles of garbage.” He added, “I look down at this sushi thing that was like a week-and-a-half old and there’s maggots.”

The brother duo then gave up on their quest, telling Damon, “We submit, you are too good. We cannot beat you.”

At the conclusion of his story, Affleck gave kudos to Damon’s wife, Lucy Barroso, whom he said there is a place for “in heaven.”
