Owen Wilson, Michaela Watkins and Stephen Root star in Paint — the new comedy inspired by Bob Ross. Luckily, we have all the information on how you can watch this new flick!

Wilson stars as the curly-haired Carl Nargle — a fictional character based on Ross, who’s hosted Vermont’s top painting show for three decades. However, things go awry when the station hires a younger and better painter, leaving Carl with nothing and no one.

UPDATE 7/24/23: Paint officially became available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple on Tuesday, May 9. Plus, it will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on July 25.

You will also be able to stream Paint exclusively on AMC+ beginning on Friday, Aug. 4.

WILL PAINT BE ON HBO MAX?

No, Paint will not be on HBO Max because it is not a Warner Bros. movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer the same day. Now, they have a 45-day window between theatrical and streaming releases.

WILL PAINT BE ON NETFLIX?

No, Paint will not be available to stream on Netflix — at least not any time soon. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to a theater or wait for it to become available on digital platforms or AMC+.
