The next day, he’s reassigned to night action desk duty in the White House basement, where his sole responsibility is to answer a phone that never rings. After a distressing call breaks his string of painfully boring night shifts, Sutherland steps up to protect terrified cybersecurity expert Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan), whose aunt and uncle — both secret agents — were mysteriously murdered.

Over the course of The Night Agent‘s first 10-episode season, which dropped in full on March 23, Sutherland and Larkin go on the run, launch their own investigation, and follow damning evidence back to the Oval Office. As noted, Peter Sutherland is played by 28-year-old actor Gabriel Basso (born Louis Gabriel Basso III). Basso kickstarted his on-screen career in 2007 and has starred in a number of films and television shows including iCarly, The Middle, The Whole Truth, and more. But he’s best known for roles as Martin in Super 8, Patrick in The Kings of Summer, J.D. Vance in Hillbilly Elegy, Jimmy Petersen in American Wrestler: The Wizard, and Adam Jamison in The Big C.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, The Night Agent star has two sisters who are also actors. Alexandria Basso has appeared in iCarly, Seduced, Alice Upside Down, and more. And you may recognize Annalise Basso from Desperate Housewives, True Blood, Bones, Parks and Recreation, New Girl, Snowpiercer, and other film and TV titles.
