Jordan Peele’s Next Animated Movie Release Set For Christmas 2024

Horror fans, rejoice: we finally have a release date for the new Jordan Peele movie.

Universal Pictures added an “Untitled Fourth Film Directed by Jordan Peele” to its release calendar, set to release on December 25, 2024, Variety reports.

The studio also scheduled another untitled film from Monkeypaw Productions, Peele’s production company, to release September 27, 2024. Variety reports Universal “took an untitled animated event film off its slate,” which could mean Peele’s next project could be an animated feature.

No other details have been released about these projects, but the Monkeypaw website lists two upcoming releases titled Sinkhole and Goat

These next two feature films are part of a five-year production deal Peele signed with Universal in October 2019 after he and the company worked together on Get Out and Us

When the deal was announced, Peele said, “It would not have been possible to make Get Out and Us without the endless trust and support we received from Donna Langley and the team at Universal. Their willingness to take risks and their commitment to original content makes them the perfect collaborative partner for Monkeypaw. I couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead.”

Get Out, Peele’s directorial debut, earned him an Oscar for best original screenplay after it grossed $255 million in the box office. His 2019 follow-up Us grossed $256 million, while Nope earned $171 million in the box office.

Monkeypaw Productions was also behind Candyman, the Nia DaCosta horror film that Peele co-wrote, as well as the Prime Video series Hunters, and the comedy Honk For Jesus, Save Your Soul.
