Will There Be a ‘Treason’ Season 2 on Netflix? What We Know

If you don’t look, you might easily pass over Netflix’s latest thriller series, Treason — a show that follows Adam Lawrence (Charlie Cox), a man trained by M16, as Kara, a Russian spy he shares a troublesome past with, reemerges in his life, making him question everyone and everything. The five-episode series, which dropped on the streamer on Monday (Dec. 26), also stars Oona Chaplin, Olga Kurylenko, and Tracy Ifeacher.

If the plot wasn’t enough to convince you, Decider’s own Joel Keller recommended that Netflix subscribers stream the new British spy show. He wrote, “Treason has more than enough tension and intrigue to span its 5-episode season. As long as it doesn’t get too bogged down with unnecessary side stories, the show should be very entertaining.”

So will there be a second season of Treason? Here’s everything we know:

Will there be a Treason Season 2?

While Netflix has not announced any plans to make a second season of Treason, we can guess that there likely won’t be one based on previous limited series released on the streaming platform.

The show, which has already flown under the radar seeing as it was released around the same time as the popular Noah Centineo-led spy series The Recruit, would likely have to blow up in order for us to see more episodes. At the same time, other limited series released on the streamer in 2022 like Inventing Anna were also not picked up for a second season despite their popularity — so it looks like there’s no telling whether the story will continue for Treason.
