‘Better Call Saul’s Next Episode Is Titled “Breaking Bad”

With three episodes left in its final season, it looks like Better Call Saul is finally going to break bad.

In April, co-creator Peter Gould officially confirmed that Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston, who played Walt, and Aaron Paul, who played Jesse, would appear in the prequel before it ends. But with 10 out of Season 6’s 13 episodes behind us, fans have grown more and more disappointed every hour they haven’t seen the familiar faces. If you’re on the edge of your couch waiting to see that ultimate Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul crossover, we have a hopeful sign that Episode 11 might deliver.

The third to last episode of Better Call Saul is aptly titled, “Breaking Bad.” Yes, really.

On Thursday, episode writer and director Thomas Schnauz confirmed the title in a tweet and credited the show’s writer and producer Jenn Carroll with choosing it. “She emailed me the 611 titled ‘Breaking Bad’ and I thought, ‘Perfect.'” Schnauz wrote.

Additionally, when we poked through Spectrum’s TV guide, the episode title was confirmed, as well as this — as usual — vague synopsis: “The partners escalate their enterprise to new levels.”

The capacity in which Walt and Jesse will appear in the prequel still remains unknown, as well as whether they are the partners mentioned in the synopsis, but we have a feeling fans aren’t going to want to miss the August 1 episode.
