It’s been a long time coming (since 2007 to be exact) but it’s finally here — a first look at the new National Treasure installment.

The Disney+ Original series, National Treasure: Edge of History, made its official debut at yesterday’s (July 21) San Diego Comic-Con panel, where a teaser trailer and behind-the-scenes look were featured.

The series hones in on young heroine and brilliant DREAMer Jess, played by Lisette Olivera, as she “embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about her family’s mysterious past and save a lost Pan-American treasure,” per the press release. The series will also star Chicago actress Catherine Zeta-Jones as Billie, a “badass billionaire, black market antiquities expert, and treasure hunter who lives by her own code.”

In addition, National Treasure: Edge of History will feature Zuri Reed as Tasha, Jess’ ride-or-die friend who joins the treasure hunt, Antonio Cipriano as Oren, a lovable yet self-obsessed goofball with extensive knowledge of conspiracy theories, Jordan Rodrigues, who plays Jess’ childhood best friend Ethan, Jake Austin Walker as Liam, a struggling musician who comes from a long line of treasure hunters, and Lyndon Smith as FBI Agent Ross, an investigator who begins to realize there’s a greater conspiracy at hand.

Disney+ released the 'National Treasure: Edge of History' poster.

But what about our OG characters, you ask? Pulp Fiction star Harvey Keitel, who played Peter Sadusky in the original film franchise, along with The Hangover actor Justin Bartha, who played Riley Poole, will reprise their roles as guest stars. There has been no word on Nicolas Cage’s return to the 10-episode reboot.

The first two films notoriously star Cage as historian and treasure hunter Ben Gates as he embarks on wild adventures such as stealing the Declaration of Independence. While we’re going to see a younger cast in the Disney+ series, we can only hope that we might get a surprise appearance by the man himself.

Disney+ has not yet announced a release date for National Treasure: Edge of History.
