'Operation Mincemeat'

Based on Ben Macintyre’s 2010 book about Britain’s “Operation Mincemeat” utilized in World War II and set in 1943, this film depicts the events surrounding that plan, which was a deceptive maneuver used to keep the Allies’ invasion of Fortress Europe in Sicily a secret from the German forces hoping to stop and destroy them. Directed by John Madden, Operation Mincemeat boasts a talented cast that includes Colin Firth, Johnny Flynn, Jason Isaacs, Matthew Macfadyen, Kelly Macdonald, and Paul Ritter.
