‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ Trailer Is Glorious, But When Will ‘Thor 4’ Be on Disney+?

Listen, everyone goes through a bit of quarterlife angst — but not all of us are alien gods. Semantics. (Also, do gods have a quarterlife? Questions to ponder.) In the newly released teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, our favorite flaxen-haired Asgardian is working through the growing pains of, like, realizing stuff, to paraphrase the sage Kylie Jenner, and we’re sitting here all like:

ANOTHER!

The movie, the fourth installment of Thor’s very own franchise, hits theaters July 8, 2022. We’ll be there opening weekend, but what we’re all really wondering is when we’ll be able to embrace our true Thor-in-sweatpants selves and watch this amazingness on repeat on Disney+.

So, when will Thor 4 be available on a couch near you?

When Will Thor: Love And Thunder Be Free On Disney+?

We….don’t quite know for sure yet.

But! Using other recent Marvel releases, we can make some educated guesses. For example: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released May 6 in theaters, and Marvel has announced that it will be on Disney+ “this summer.” Another recent release, Eternals, hit theaters Nov. 5, 2021, then appeared on the streaming service Jan. 12 of this year.

Looking at that data, it seems fair to say that it’ll be two-ish, maybe three months until Thor: Love and Thunder is available on Disney+. So expect Thor 4 to be free on Disney+ sometime around late September, early October. Phew, that’s plenty of time to pop some popcorn and iron our finest stretch pants. After all, only the best will do when you’re in the company of gods.

What is Thor: Love and Thunder about? Who is in the Thor 4 cast?

Great news, we’ve got the official synopsis for Thor: Love and Thunder from Disney, right here:

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. Directed by Waititi (“Thor: Ragnarok,” “Jojo Rabbit”) and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, “Thor: Love and Thunder” opens in theaters July 8, 2022.

Is there a Thor: Love and Thunder trailer?

Yes! That’s sort of the whole point of this post. Check it out above.
