‘Killing Eve’ Season 4 Trailer Teases Eve and Villanelle’s Final Game of Cat and Mouse

Killing Eve is back for one last game of cat and mouse. Today, BBC America released the official trailer for the fourth and final season of the Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer-led drama, which teases Eve and Villanelle’s intense and potentially fatal final ride.

The trailer confirms that the enemies-turned-potential lovers did actually walk away from one another at the end of Season 3. Since then, Villanelle has turned to religion and therapy in hopes of changing her murderous ways; she tells her therapist that she killed two people last night, but only after she tried “really hard not to.” Meanwhile, Eve infiltrates the shadowy assassination network known as The Twelve, and both of our main characters seem to have moved on to new paramours.

But this is Killing Eve we’re talking about, so of course the two can’t stay apart for long. After Villanelle tries to prove to Eve that she’s changed during their very Romeo + Juliet-esque reunion, Eve likens their relationship to the fable of the scorpion and the frog.

“They hook up?” Villanelle asks.

“They both die, because the scorpion can’t change its nature,” Eve replies. Not loving the foreshadowing, BBC America!

Executive producers for the upcoming season include Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Gina Mingacci, Damon Thomas, Laura Neal, and Oh.

Killing Eve Season 4 premieres Sunday, February 27, at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America and AMC+. Scroll up to watch the official trailer.
