Another day, another wild movie scene blowing up on TikTok. The opening scene of Tom Ford‘s 2016 film Nocturnal Animals has gone viral on the app, as users challenge each other to record their “blind reactions” to the film’s unexpected opening scene.

I don’t know what people on TikTok were expecting when they pressed play on the Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal-led thriller, but it certainly wasn’t several naked women dancing with American flags and pom poms while classical music plays.

The trend originated in an October 12 video shared by TikTok user @ohmandy86. “Stop what you’re doing right now,” she says. “Go to Netflix, look up Nocturnal Animals, and record yourself watching the opening scene. Please duet me. I wanna see everyone’s reactions.” Needless to say, people have taken her advice ever since — the app’s Nocturnal Animals hashtag now has over 36.4 million views.

While it’s unclear whether many of these TikTokkers stuck around after the opening scene, Nocturnal Animals packs in plenty of twists and turns over the course of its nearly two-hour runtime. The bulk of the story centers on art gallery owner Susan (Adams), who’s struggling with her neglectful second husband’s (Armie Hammer) frequent travels when she suddenly receives an unsettling manuscript from her estranged ex-husband Edward (Gyllenhaal) that mirrors their former relationship in disturbing ways.

If you’re curious about seeing Nocturnal Animals’ striking opening scene and unnerving story is all about, you can check it out on Netflix now. And if you’re so inclined, why not capture your own reaction?
