'SNL' Has Won The Most Primetime Emmy Awards, Ever: Here's How They've Done It
It’s been 17 years since Sex and the City‘s last big Emmy win — and yet, the ladies managed to find a way back onto tonight’s gala all over again. During a commercial break, HBO Max premiered new footage from Sex and the City‘s new prequel series And Just Like That… alongside new clips from Euphoria, Peacemaker, and more. Looks like next year’s Emmys already have a lot in store!
In the brief teaser for And Just Like That…, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) wave a brief hello in their ever-fashionable outfits. Then, Carrie canoodles with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) in a swanky kitchen. Everything is back to normal in the Sex and the City universe, it seems! (Except for the lack of Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall, that is.)
Other new series teased by HBO Max include the Suicide Squad spinoff saga Peacemaker starring John Cena, as well as upcoming coming-of-age series The Sex Lives of College Girls from Mindy Kaling.
Returning hits like Succession, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Insecure aired some enthralling footage to get viewers excited for their new seasons coming this October. Gossip Girl, which already aired the first half of its debut season, also had a spot in the quick teaser. The revival will air six new episodes this November.
But Euphoria was perhaps the most surprising — though the show has set a second season, we’ve heard little-to-no news about when it may return to HBO. Still, we got a sneak preview of Rue (Zendaya) twirling with a pillow and Jules (Hunter Schafer) dressed up as Frida Kahlo.
The video also teased upcoming Warner Bros. movies set to hit HBO Max with day-and-date releases, with clips from epic sci-fi Dune, Venus and Serena Williams biopic King Richard, and The Matrix Resurrections. These films will be available for 31 days from their release on HBO Max at no additional cost to subscribers of the ad-free plan.
If the clip has you revved up for HBO Max releases, why not subscribe today? The streamer currently has a flash sale going on, with their Ad-Free price of $14.99 cut down by 50% to $7.49. Hop on that deal now — it’ll only last for one more week until Sept. 26!
Scroll up to watch HBO Max’s new teaser for upcoming shows and movies.
