New Movies and Shows to Stream This Weekend: Worth, Cinderella and The D’Amelio Show

This Friday you can finally sift through the plethora of new titles now available on all the streaming platforms, but let’s take a beat and focus on some notable highlights! Netflix is offering some very interesting and poignant titles this weekend including Money Heist Part 5. However, the biggest movie to watch is Worth, a biographical drama about a lawyer fighting for those lost to the twin towers, which is aptly being released before the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Hulu is also looking to pave the way for new things this weekend with the release of their new reality TV series, The D’Amelio Show. Keeping Up With the Kardashians may be over, but it looks like there is a new Hollywood family in town! And last — but certainly not least — is Amazon Prime Video’s original musical, Cinderella. Starring Camila Cabello and Billy Porter, this film has been stirring up some hype for some time; now it’s time to see if it lives up to the buzz! These options are just the tip of the iceberg, so check out the rest of the hit movies and shows now available to stream below:

New on Netflix September 3: Worth

This September 11 marks 20 years since that fateful day that terrorists hijacked planes and took down the World Trade Center and stole thousands of people from their friends and families forever. We do not forget, and Neither has Netflix thanks to the release of the gut-wrenching film, Worth. In this biographical drama film, Michael Keaton plays Ken Feinberg: a D.C. lawyer who, after the attacks in 2001, had to battle against cynicism, bureaucracy and politics to help the victims of 9/11, attempting to put a dollar value on the lives lost. In honor of those lives that were taken from us 20 years ago this 9/11, watch Worth, new on Netflix this weekend and one of the top movies new on Netflix this month.

New on Hulu September 3: The D’Amelio Show

Move over, Kardashians, the D’Amelios are the new “it” family in town and they’ve got a reality series new on Hulu this weekend to prove it! Titled The D’Amelio Show, the series centers Charli and Dixie D’Amelio: two sisters who led relatively normal lives in obscurity until they gained instant and all-encompassing fame from a few dance videos on a little app called TikTok. Now thrust into the bright lights of Hollywood, the sisters will have to lean on their supportive parents Heidi and Marc and each other as they try to navigate relationships, work and fame while also adapting to an abrupt cross-country move to Los Angeles. Will the sisters crack under the pressure — and bring the rest of the family down with them? Watch it all happen in The D’Amelio Show.

New on Amazon Prime Video September 3: Cinderella

This is not your Disney — or Rogers and Hammerstein’s — princess tale. New on Amazon Prime Video this weekend is the highly-anticipated Cinderella, a romantic jukebox musical set in the new age. This modern reimagination of the classic glass-shoe tale tells the story of the titular heroine, Cinderella: an ambitious young woman looking to make her mark in the fashion world — a big dream that the world is apparently not ready to allow. But with the help of her Fab G (who says the godparent has to be dowdy or gender-specific?), this Cinderella will have a ball — her way. Featuring music from hit musical artists like Ed Sheeran, Material Girl, Freddie Mercury and starring Camila Cabello, Billy Porter, Idina Menzel and more, Cinderella is sure to be a star-studded fantasia of fabulousness!
