Netflix’s ‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ Reveals Season 2 First Look, October Premiere Date

The Baby-Sitters Club is back in session. Today, Netflix revealed a first look at Season 2 of the series, and revealed it will hit the streamer on October 11.

Based on Ann M. Martin’s beloved book series of the same name, The Baby-Sitters Club follows a group of friends as they found a baby-sitting business in Stoneybrook, Connecticut, and juggle their newfound responsibilities with the highs and lows of navigating middle school.

First look photos for Season 2 feature Alicia Silverstone (who plays the mother of Sophia Grace’s Kristy), and new main cast members Mallory (Vivian Watson) and Jessi (Anais Lee). They also reveal the new Dawn: Kyndra Sanchez, who took over the role when original star Xochitl Gomez left to play America Chavez in a little movie called Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

“In Season 2, we really get to see a maturation of the club and of the girls,” said creator and showrunner Rachel Shukert in a statement. “There are two new members [and] they’re all a year older and have more experience running a business, deeper friendships and are growing into a deeper understanding of themselves as people.”

“We also wanted to continue exploring themes that allow all young viewers to see themselves represented on screen, while also dealing obliquely with many of things we’ve all been through in the past year: loss, change, responsibility, and trying to find joy and meaning in unexpected places,” Shukert continued. “I’m so excited for everyone to be back in business.”

The Baby-Sitters Club also stars Malia Baker as Mary Ann, Momona Tamada as Claudia, Shay Rudolph as Stacey, Mark Feurstein as Watson, and Marc Evan Jackson as Richard. Shukert, Lucia Aniello, Luca Kitada, Michael De Luca, Naia Cuckov, Ben Forrer, and Frank Smith are EPs.

The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2 premieres on October 11 on Netflix.
