‘The Kissing Booth 3’ Trailer Teases Joey King’s Life-Changing Summer Before College

The trailer for the third Kissing Booth film is finally here, and Elle (Joey King) is faced with one of her hardest decisions yet. In the third film of the hit Netflix franchise, Elle is taking over the beach house for one last summer with her best friend Lee (Joel Courtney) and her boyfriend Noah (Jacob Elordi).

And while there’s no shortage of rowdy teen parties or long days on the beach in The Kissing Booth 3, Elle can’t distract herself from one particularly pressing (and not to mention life-changing) issue: where she’ll go to college. Although she and Lee are busy working their way through their newly discovered beach bucket list of things they wanted to do together before starting school, Elle can’t seem to make a choice between U.C. Berkeley — where her best friend will be — or Harvard — where her boyfriend will be.

“When you decide to escape reality, eventually you’re going to have to come back to it,” she says in today’s trailer, adding, “I have to pick a school and make one of my two favorite people very unhappy.”

And as if her life wasn’t already complicated enough by the looming decision, Elle has another curveball thrown at her with the re-introduction of Marco (Taylor Zakhar-Perez), her near-love interest from the second Kissing Booth film. “Between spending time with Noah, picking a school, and doing the bucket list with Lee, I just feel like I’m running around like a crazy person,” Elle tearfully tells Marco, who appears to get into some drama of his own with Noah later in the trailer.

The trailer closes with a cryptic line from Elle, who says, “People pass through our lives. Some of them fade into memories, but a few become part of who you are.” Guess we’ll just have to wait until next month to figure out who sticks around.

The Kissing Booth 3 premieres on Netflix Aug. 11. Watch the full trailer in the video above.
