Goldbelly gets it. Dads deserve the best on Father’s Day. So why not gift him with a special Goldbelly LIVE! cook-along class and meal kit this Sunday, June 20? The specialty food website is a one-stop shop for all the most appetizing eats from around the country, allowing you to ship and deliver anything from smoky bbq to steaks, from bagels and lox to nuts and jerky. But what you may not know is that they also offer one-of-a-kind experiences from some of the world’s best chefs—to help dad cook up his own Father’s Day meal.

As most of us know, not every burger is created equal. Which is why he is going to love learning how make this re-creation of New York City’s Emmy Squared Le Big Matt Burger. For those of you not in the know, Emmy Squared is known more for its Detroit-style pizza then its meat products, But when they decided to do a burger, well, they did not mess around.

Created by Chef Matt Hyalnd (hence the name), this gorgeous sandwich started as an insider’s verbal special at the restaurant and eventually landed on the menu for everyone to enjoy.

Originally thought up as a way to satisfy Chef Hyland’s fast-food craving, the Big Matt is a double stack of burgers with white American cheese, topped with sweet pickles, shredded Mizuna greens and a special mayo-based Sammy sauce with a hot sauce kick—all between a salty pretzel bun.

So, yeah, you’ll get eight Bear Creek farm grass-fed beef patties, four Pretzilla buns, eight slices of American cheese and pickles and that gorgeous Sammy Sauce made of garlic, Indonesian sambal, tamarind, brown sugar, oil and mayo. But, luckily for Dad, his meal doesn’t end with the burger. It also includes everything you need to mix a batch of Old Fashioned cocktails (OK, not the booze), including the bitters, maple syrup and grapefruit juice, and then enough pre-made Blondie dough and a baking pan to get his sweet on after the meal.

The Big Matt kit will be delivered to your door by June 18 and you can join the live, one hour cooking Zoom event at 6pm on Sunday, June 20. The kits are made-to-order and packed with ice, so you’ll want to keep your beef patties and blondie batter in the freezer until the night before, when you can move them to the fridge. Buns and bitters can stay room temp.

And don’t worry, everything, including the virtual class and shipping, is included in the $149 price. So indulge Dad and get cooking—because this is one burger he will not soon forget.
