Get ready to meet the Eternals. The trailer for Marvel Studios‘ latest project has just been released, and there’s a lot to take in, from the gobs of A-List cast members to the gorgeous establishing shots. Academy Award winner Chloé Zhao wrote and directed the project, with Kaz and Ryan Firpo also serving as co-writers.

Eternals will follow, you guessed it, eternal beings who have lived on Earth forever, shaping its history and civilizations for thousands of years. These immortal beings come from all over the globe and must reunite together to fight back against the Deviants, an evil foil to their harmonious allyship. The trailer is paired with the song “The End of the World” by Skeeter Davis — which, hopefully, isn’t the case for this wide-ranging group of superheroes.

In the trailer, the Eternals get to show off some of their magical abilities while the camera coasts through seaside villages and secret hideaways. Angelina Jolie makes an amazing return to action-packed films as Thena, dressed in a killer white action suit made perfect for swinging around weapons. Gemma Chan and Richard Madden, playing Sersi and Ikaris, share some tender moments over the course of the trailer.

“We have watched, unguided,” Salma Hayek‘s character, Ajak, says in a voiceover. “We have helped them progress and seen them accomplish wonders. Throughout the years, we have never interfered. Until now.”

Along with Jolie, Chan, Madden, and Hayek, the stacked cast includes Kit Harington, Kumail Nanjiani, Bryan Tyree Henry, Barry Keoghan, and Ma Dong-seok. Mitchell Bell and Kevin Feige are set to produce the film, with Nate Moore as executive producer.

Eternals will release in theaters on November 5. While other Disney movies are premiering simultaneously on Disney+ and in theaters, like Black Widow, Cruella, and Jungle Cruise, or will premiere first in theaters for a 45-day exclusive window before heading to a to-be-determined streaming platform, like Shang-Chi and Ryan Reynolds’ Free Guy, no streaming plans have been announced for Eternals, which as far as we currently know will premiere and run exclusively in theaters for the time being.
