How to Watch Eurovision 2021 in the USA

Nearly forty countries are gathering for the fist time since 2019 for Eurovision, Europe’s famous singing competition. After last year’s event was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, we got a stand-in with Rachel McAdams and Will Ferrell’s Eurovision Netflix film.
But now, the real show is back and ready to display some of the best musical talents Europe has to offer. Curious how to watch this year’s Eurovision? Wondering when Eurovision 2021 is, or who is competing from which countries?

WHERE IS EUROVISION 2021?

This year’s Eurovision competition will be held in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The country won in 2019 and was supposed to host the singing competition last year, but it was pushed to 2021 due to the pandemic.

WHEN IS EUROVISION 2021?

Eurovision 2021 takes place this week, from today, May 18, through Saturday, May 23. In the U.S., the schedule is as follows:

  • Semi-Final 1: Tuesday, May 18, 3/2c
  • Semi-Final 2: Thursday, May 20, 3/2c
  • Grand-Final: Saturday, May 22, 3/2c

WHO IS COMPETING IN EUROVISION 2021?

In total, 39 countries will be competing in Eurovision this year. The “Big Five” and host countries include the U.K.’s James Newman performing “Embers,” Spain’s Blas Cantó performing “Voy a quedarme,” France’s Barbara Pravi performing “Voilà,” Germany’s Jendrik performing “I Don’t Feel Hate,” Italy’s Måneskin performing “Zitti e buoni,” and the Netherlands’ Jeangu Macrooy performing “Birth of a New Age.” For a full list of competitors, visit the Eurovision website.

HOW TO WATCH WATCH EUROVISION 2021 IN USA:

Good news, American Eurovision fans! For the first time ever, Peacock will stream this year’s competition, the company announced this morning. Eurovision will be available to watch exclusively on Peacock, with the show airing both live and on-demand, starting today at 3/2c. The streamer has also locked in a deal to stream next year’s Eurovision competition in 2022.
