Once the docuseries premieres, it will only be available on one place: YouTube. In June of 2020 YouTube announced that the four-part series would be coming exclusively to the streaming service, meaning that it will only be available to viewers subscribed to YouTube Premium.

Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil is another installment in YouTube’s growing line of insightful music documentaries and docuseries. The streamer is currently home to Ariana Grande: Dangerous Woman Diaries, Justin Bieber: Seasons, and Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated. The much-anticipated Dancing with the Devil will continue this trend.

When Does Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil Premiere?

The docuseries will be made available to YouTube Premium members starting on Tuesday, March 23 on Lovato’s YouTube channel. New episodes will premiere Tuesdays.

What Is the Demi Lovato Documentary About?

In June of 2018 Lovato released “Sober”, a confession to the world that after six months of sobriety, she had relapsed. One month later Lovato was rushed to the hospital due to an opioid overdose. That overdose resulted in Lovato experiencing multiple strokes, a heart attack, and brain damage, the effects of which she’s still dealing with to this day.

Dancing with the Devil is Lovato’s way to discuss this harrowing experience with fans on her own terms. The four-part series will explore what led to the singer-songwriter’s near fatal overdose, her awakenings in the aftermath, and prior traumas that Lovato has never publicly shared. Directed and executive produced by Michael D. Ratner, the series will serve as a deeply intimate look at addiction and the path to healing.
