With March just around the corner, The CW has finally set its Spring 2021 schedule. The network has announced premiere dates for new series Kung Fu and The Republic of Sarah and for returning shows including DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, and In the Dark. In addition, The CW has announced new time slots for fan-favorites Batwoman and Charmed.
One series that’s notably absent from The CW’s Spring 2021 lineup? Riverdale, which will be on a pre-planned hiatus until Wednesday, July 7. The first half of Riverdale Season 5 is currently airing on The CW and will air until March 31, then take a break after Episode 10, before airing the rest of its season starting in July.
The CW’s spring schedule begins Wednesday, April 7 with the series premiere of Kung Fu, a modern-day adaptation of the original martial arts drama starring Olivia Liang, Tzi Ma, and Kheng Hua Ta. Later that month, The CW will air a new special titled World’s Funniest Animals: Spring Fling, followed by the season premieres of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Dynasty in May.
June brings the Season 3 premiere of In the Dark (Wednesday, June 9) and the debut of The Republic of Sarah, a New Hampshire-set drama about a high school teacher (played by Stella Baker) who takes charge when her beloved community comes under attack.
