Where to Watch ‘Minari’

Though it had its world premiere nearly a year ago at Sundance Film Festival, Lee Isaac Chung‘s critically-acclaimed film Minari has yet to have a full release. The film, which follows a Korean family living in Arkansas in the 1980s, has already garnered awards from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards and others. And the A24 film is already facing issues at the Golden Globes — even though it’s an American film, it’ll be entered in the Foreign Language category, making it ineligible for the Best Picture categories.

With actors Steven Yeun and Youn Yuh-jung in talks for nominations at the major awards shows, the release of Minari is long-awaited. Wondering when it’ll be available to rent or stream? You’re not alone. Here’s everything you need to know about A24’s new movie:

What is Minari about?

Minari follows a Korean family that moves out to a farm in Arkansas in search of their own American Dream. Though their world is already turned upside-down, everything becomes even more awry with the arrival of the family’s foul-mouthed grandmother.
