Kate Hudson To Star Opposite Octavia Spencer In Apple TV’s ‘Truth Be Told’ Season 2

Kate Hudson has been cast in Apple TV’s drama series Truth Be Told to star opposite to Octavia Spencer in Season 2 of the show.

The somewhat anthology series was created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman and produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, along with Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content. Production of the second season is set to begin in Los Angeles on October 26.

While the show has a central protagonist who recurs throughout the series, each season aims to focus on a new story with new characters. Season 2 will provide a glimpse into America’s obsession with true crime podcasts.

Hudson will play Micah Keith, a lifestyle guru and longtime friend of Poppy Parnell (Spencer), as a new case that is close to home for both women presents itself and quickly puts their relationship to the ultimate test, according to Deadline.

Spencer is executive producer of Truth Be Told alongside writer and executive producer Tramble Spellman, Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping for Chernin Entertainment, and Mikkel Norgaard.

Hudson is best known for her roles in Almost Famous, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Bride Wars (which she also produced) as well as Fox’s Glee.
