Earlier this week, Netflix released their list of titles exiting the streaming platform in September. All seven seasons of Once Upon a Time are leaving Netflix on September 5, while classic films like Jurassic Park, Million Dollar Baby, and Schindler’s List will be removed from the streamer on September 30. There was no mention of the classic Fox series That ’70s Show. So imagine everyone’s surprise when fans noticed that the dreaded “Available Until…” tag appeared on the sitcom’s Netflix page.

Sadly, you won’t be able to spend your nights “hangggging out, downnnnn the street” on Netflix with Eric, Donna, and the rest of the gang for much longer because That ’70s Show is leaving Netflix.

When is That ’70s Show officially exiting Netflix? Here’s everything we know.

IS THAT 70S SHOW LEAVING NETFLIX?

Yep. Unfortunately, That ’70s Show is leaving Netflix. The classic Fox comedy will be removed from Netflix on September 7, 2020.

The photo below is from the Netflix mobile app, but if you add That ’70s Show to your Netflix list on your web browser and then click “my list,” you’ll see a notification that notes that the series is “Available until 9/7/20.”

WHY IS THAT 70S SHOW LEAVING NETFLIX?

Back in November of 2019, Deadline reported that the series was in the final year of its deal with Netflix. In the article, President of Carsey-Werner TV Distribution Jim Kraus revealed that the company had begun conversations with Netflix about renewing the show’s deal.

“Because Netflix is the incumbent for That ’70s Show, we will give them plenty of opportunity to renew it,” Kraus said. “I think they would like to keep the show, but there are at least 3-4 other places interested. With all the interest that has been expressed, if we cannot come to an agreement with Netflix, we will move on.”

IS THAT 70S SHOW ON HULU?

Nope. Unfortunately, That ’70s Show isn’t available to stream on Hulu. Decider reached out to Hulu to see if there are plans to add the series to their platform.

HOW TO WATCH THAT 70S SHOW ONLINE:

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like That ’70s Show will be available to stream for free. Your best bet is Amazon, where individual episodes ($2.99/HD, $1.99/SD) and complete seasons are available for purchase.

It’s certainly possible that another streaming service adds the series to its library in the near future, but there’s nothing official at this point. We’ll update this story with any new developments.
