Amazon’s The Wheel of Time fantasy series just gained two big talents. Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated actress Sophie Okonedo and Game of Thrones actress Kae Alexander have both signed on to play recurring roles in the upcoming series, which is an adaptation of Robert Jordan’s “The Wheel of Time” fantasy novel series.

Okonedo is set to play Amyrlin Seat Siuan Sanche, while Alexander will take on the role of fan-favorite Min Farshaw. The actresses join the rest of the growing cast, which currently includes Rosamund Pike as Moiraine, Josha Stradowski as Dragon Reborn, Kate Fleetwood as Liandrin Guirale, Peter Franzen as Stepin and Clare Perkins as Kerene Nagashi.

Pike stars in the series as Moiraine, a powerful member of the all-female Aes Sedai organization. According to the official series description, she lives in a fantasy world where magic exists, but only certain select women are allowed to have access to it. The Wheel of Time follows Moiraine as she arrives in Two Rivers, a small town where she starts the beginnings of an epic quest. She embarks on a journey with five men and women, including the Dragon Reborn, an individual who has the power to either save or totally destroy humanity.

Okonedo is known for her work in films like Hotel Rwanda and After Earth, and for the Netflix series Wanderlust. Next month, she’s set to star alongside Sarah Paulson in Ryan Murphy’s Nurse Ratched Netflix series Ratched. Aside from her work on GOT, Alexander has appeared in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag.

The Wheel of Time comes from executive producer Rafe Judkins, who previously worked as a writer on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Chuck. Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage of Red Eagle Entertainment, Ted Field and Mike Weber of Radar Pictures, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe and Uta Briesewitz are all listed as executive producers on the project. Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson are attached as consulting producers, and Pike is set to produce and star in the series.
