Brad and Jen forever! The iconic ’90s couple is planning an official reunion — but before you get excited, just know it’s strictly platonic. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are set to meet up for Dane Cook‘s “Feelin’ A-Live” fundraiser, ABC News reports. Pitt and Aniston are joining in on Cook’s table read of the classic 1982 comedy Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which is set to take place later this week.
The two actors are set to appear together for one night only for the virtual reunion, which brings them together officially for the first time in months. Cook’s fundraiser will support CORE, Sean Penn’s nonprofit organization, and REFORM Alliance, a criminal justice reform organization started by Jay-Z, Meek Mill, Robert Kraft and Michael Rubin.
Of course, Pitt and Aniston can’t carry the entire script on their own. The rest of the Fast Time at Ridgemont High crew includes Cook himself, along with Morgan Freeman, Matthew McConaughey, Julia Roberts, Shia LaBeouf, Jimmy Kimmel and Henry Golding. And some of the original cast and crew are pitching in for the nostalgic project, too — Sean Penn, who starred as Jeff Spicoli in the film, will join the table read, while screenwriter Cameron Crowe and director Amy Heckerling will introduce the virtual event.
This isn’t the first Pitt and Aniston reunion of 2020. While it may feel like it happened ages ago now, Pitt and Aniston actually met up earlier in the year at the SAG Awards. The former couple caused a stir when photos surfaced of the two backstage at the ceremony, where they both won awards: her for work on The Morning Show, and him for his role in Once Upon A Time…in Hollywood.
Catch Pitt and Aniston’s virtual reunion this Friday, Aug. 21, at 8/7c on Facebook Live and TikTok through the CORE Facebook page or TikTok account. If you prefer, you can also watch the livestream on LiveXLive.
