What a week. Between the political drama, celebrity drama and world health drama that has covered our TV screens, it is all too much! We need a break, and we know exactly how to take it: binging out to movies and shows on streaming, of course! Thankfully, there are a plethora of new movies and shows to watch this weekend that will keep us away from the news channels for as long as we’d like. But now to figure out what to watch, hmmm. And with any luck, these highlights will help you decide what to watch and where to stream it this weekend.

New Movies and Shows to Stream This Weekend: 3%, Project Power, and World’s Toughest Race

We weren’t stretching the truth when we said there are a plethora of new titles to stream this weekend, so putting together these highlights was a harder task than usual! But enough prattle, let’s begin: Netflix is packing all the punches this weekend with original content like sci-fi action film Project Power, brand-new dramedy series Teenage Bounty Hunters, the fourth and final season of 3% and much more. Over on Amazon Prime Video you can embark on an adventure into new lands through the Bear Grylls competition series, World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji. Hulu may not be coming out with original content, but you will for sure be entertained for hours on end through shows like Chopped, Property Brothers, Caribbean Life and much more. We could keep raving about the impressive titles new on streaming this weekend, but instead we will shut up and let you check them out below:

New on Netflix August 14: Project Power

Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt star in Project Power, the sci-fi action flick that is new on Netflix this month. The film is set in New Orleans and follows an ex-soldier, a teen and a cop who collide while on the hunt for a dangerous new drug that grants the user temporary superpowers. But as Peter Parker knows, great power comes with great responsibility, yet Art, Frank and Robin are pretty sure whoever gains these powers aren’t using them in good faith. Will they find source of the new pill and get it under control before all hell breaks loose? Find out in Project Power, one of the top movies to watch this month on Netflix. And, if you look real close, you’ll see Machine Gun Kelly show his face in the movie, too!

New on Netflix August 14: 3% Season 4

Netflix series 3% is back for its fourth and final season of apocalyptic drama. Set in a dystopian future, this Brazilian show creates a world where the majority of the population lives on the impoverished Inland. But when every citizen turns 20, they get the chance to undergo a series of tests at the chance of moving to a better life. The catch? The extremely-challenging physical and mental tests will cost them ever seeing their loved ones again — and possibly their lives. But like every dystopian reality we explore through shows and films, nothing is ever perfect and that has been made perfectly clear while watching 3%. So will there be a revolution? After three seasons of crazy drama, impossible scenarios and dirty leaders, 3% Season 4 will cover the climax and resolution of it all.

New on Amazon Prime Video August 14: World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji

New on Amazon Prime this weekend is a race into the great unknown filled with rough mountains, vast oceans and dense jungles with a prize on the other side. Hosted by none other than Bear Grylls, World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji is an adventure series that follows 66 teams from around the world as they embark on a competitive expedition across miles of Fijian terrain to get to the prize on the other side. And while these racers may be competing against each other, their real adversary is the elements. Watch them all tough it out in World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji.
