‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Is Now Streaming on Disney+

Name a team-up mightier than Ant-Man and the Wasp. Howsabout Ant-Man and the Wasp and Disney+? That’s right—the madcap Marvel comedy is finally streaming on Disney+. The film continues the adventures of Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) after the diminuitive hero’s, uh, less than successful stint as #TeamCap in Captain America: Civil War. Sure, Ant-Man stunned everyone during the battle with his new giant-size antics, but he ended up under house arrest! How do you do superhero stuff when you can’t even leave your house? That’s where this romp begins, but that’s not where it ends.

But what about the other missing Marvel movies? When will they jump to Disney+? And will Ant-Man and the Wasp ever stream on Netflix again? Here’s what you need to know.

Is Ant-Man and the Wasp on Disney+?

You bet it is! Ant-Man and the Wasp is finally available to stream on Disney+, the home of all things Marvel. It took Ant-Man and the Wasp so long to zip over to Disney+ because the film’s streaming rights were still on lock over at Netflix. But now that that old Disney/Netflix deal has expired, you can finally stream Ant-Man and the Wasp on Disney+.

Will Ant-Man and the Wasp be on Netflix?

You bet it won’t! Ant-Man and the Wasp’s time on Netflix is officially donezo forever. It was on the service for a year and a half, and now the Marvel comedy has found a new forever home on Disney+.

When will other Marvel movies be added to Disney+?

Ant-Man and the Wasp was the very last holdout from the old Disney deal still hanging around on Netflix. Now there are zero Marvel Cinematic Universe feature films on Netflix.

That doesn’t mean that Disney+ has the entire MCU canon on its streaming service. There are a few holes in their lineup—and they’re probably holes that won’t be filled any time soon. Those holes are Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Those Marvel movies were co-produced with other movie studios (Hulk with Universal, the Spider-Man pictures with Sony). That makes their streaming rights infinitely complicated and it explains why you won’t be able to watch them on Disney+ (unless something major happens behind the scenes).
